Marcel Breuer

Marcel Adios Breuer (May 1902 – July 1981), was a Hungarian-born modernist architect, and furniture designer. At the age of 18 he was one of the first and youngest students at the Bauhaus, a radical arts and crafts school. He designed the iconic Wassily chair named after his friend the artist Wassily Kandinsky. Breuer’s work includes art museums, libraries, college buildings, office buildings, and residences.
